Fall Garden
Today we noticed some changes to our garden. The children first stop to observe the garden every time our class visits the courtyard.

Self Portraits
Each month children create self portraits. Self portraits are an extraordinary windows into how much each child has drown and developed throughout the school year. The self portraits are displayed each month in the black frames in our Dramatic Play area and then placed in each child's portfolio.
Follow the link for information for parents on why Self Portraits are important part of a Preschool curriculum.
Stick Math Game
We began our morning with a stick math game. The sticks that we used were tooth picks and popsicle sticks. The game was played by each child rolling the dice and then counting out that number of tooth picks. Each child continued to take a turn. Once a child had ten tooth picks then they could trade them for a popsicle stick. The object of the game was to have the most popsicle sticks.

Painting Honey Pots in Art
The class painted their clay honey pots this week in Art Class. Mrs. Fellegy commented that the children were all very engaged during the process. Mrs. Fellegy took some great pictures. I am so glad that she shared them with me so that I could share them on the blog. Looking at these pictures reminds me why the children are always so excited on art days.
| The children enjoy the time at the end of class to play and explore Mrs. Fellegy's art materials. This moment was too funny not to share. |
