Robin Williams once said, "Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's party!'" This sentiment truly reflects the spirit of in the Oak class. Springtime brings a wealth of new things to explore. Here are some of today's spring-inspired learning experiences.
Adding colorful water and fun gardening tools really brought the
mud kitchen to life and made it even more enjoyable to play in!
Our class had an exciting visit to the elementary science room to check out the eggs in the incubator. In just 21 days, we'll see little baby chicks hatch. We can’t wait!
Ms. Erica set up a delightful flower shop in the dramatic play center! The children had a wonderful time today making beautiful bouquets and selling flowers to each other.
During large group time, the class examined insect specimens and focused on the details of each bug. They used magnifying glasses to closely observe the insects. After that, each student chose one insect specimen to create an observational drawing. Finally, the class played a game in which they matched the insect specimens with their corresponding drawings.
There is a goose nest in our school parking lot. During car line, Mrs. Christina invited the children to view the geese on the security video. She will keep our class updated on the geese.
The art and writing center was buzzing with spring
activities this morning.
