The Ganon adventure never stops. We had a fantastic time at the Brachot Fair which you can read about in the Shabbat Shalom. Morah Gluck and all the helpers produced an event so perfect for little people. Thank you!
Ganon children learned about the second letter in the Hebrew alphabet, the Bet! It is created with three lines: a roof, a wall and a floor. The floor extends out of the wall a little creating a back porch. We introduced two friends with a Bet name who come inside the Bayit, house, and do all sorts of activities with the Bet sound. Some children played with a Booba, doll, while others ate a Beitza, egg. Everyone made a Bracha before they ate. Then they played ball, using a variety of balls, but they mostly enjoyed baseball and basketball. Oh! we need a bat for baseball one of the children noticed. Beads were used to create our new letter card and this time we used a blue one!
After each new letter we learn, we decorate the letter on a card. I am sending home the Aleph and I encourage you to hang it up in a place where your child can see it. The Aleph was hanging on the wall in school and now it can be a constant reminder for your child at home. Each new letter can be added to the previous ones already on the wall. Next week we begin our Purim unit! Looking forward to lots of fun to come.
