Today, the Oak children worked with clay in Mrs. Fellegy's class to create apple dishes. The children rolled, molded, sculpted, smoothed, and stamped the clay. The apple dishes will be fired in the kiln and we will glave them next week.

Meet Ms. Ashley
Wednesdays are extra special because Ms. Ashley spends the day in the Oak class. She is a practicum student from Ivy Tech.
Water Play Fun
It was another fun water play day for the Oak friends! Water squirters, colored ice, discovering a praying mantis, bubbles, and laying out on our towels were some of the highlights.
During lunch, the children shared their favorite part of water play day.
Hillel – “I liked relaxing in the sun.”
Olivia – “I liked to lay down and relax in the sun. I love rainbow ice too.”
Renn – “I like getting squirted. I liked the sparkly water.”
Ari – “Squirting people.”
Chai – “Doing the squirters.”
Rochel – “Do the color ice.”
Millie – “Playing with the rainbow ice and going in the bubble water.”
Leon – “Coming inside.”
Jane - “When we were squirting the fence.”
Ezra – “Put soap in the water.”
Sammy. - “Squirting the fence.”
While the children were sharing their favorite water play activities. A student asked, "Why do we do water play?" Many children responded with their thoughts on why we do water play.
Hillel - “Because it is fun. We learn to not squirt people, if they don’t have a squirter.”
Millie – “Because it is hot and we want to go outside and be cooled down.”
Renn – “We learn to to only squirt on this side and not this side. Also, just to have fun!”
Sammy – “Because there is sun out.”
Ezra – “Too move the bubbles.”
Leon – “Because Ms. Mahern said it is water day.”
Rochel – “Because it is so fun!”
Jane – “Because we like being in the shade and it is so relaxing,”
