The class planted our garden in the spring and when we returned to school in August it had changed a lot. Hillel commented, "Woah! Look how many things grew!" Rochel explained, "Look the tomatoes grew!" Milled added, "I know! Everything grew! A lot!" Renn said, "I like the flowers. They are so pretty!" Rochel pointed out the stalks of corn. To which Jane replied, "Did we plant corm?" Ari added and pointed to corn stalks growing in the sand box, "It's over here too!"
The corn was a surprising discovery because we did not plant corn. Mrs. Gough shared that her class had fed corn to the squirrels last year. Which means that the squirrels planted the corn!🤣
