Bee Bots in Innovation Lab

A small group of Oak children visited the Innovation Lab. The children learned how to use the Bee Bots. They are bee-shaped floor robots designed for children (PreK-2nd grade) to introduce coding, sequencing, and directional language.

We stopped for a photo op on our way back to the classroom.

Sink and Float

The Oak children participated in sink and float experiments during small group time. First, they predicted whether different objects would sink or float and recorded their predictions. Next, they tested each item to see if it would sink or float, then added their results to a class chart.
