Our classroom has a glass cookie jar, some markers and paper hearts near the door.
A simple sign says to write your child a message. Many parents have been participating and writing messages to their children. Today we took a few minutes to read the notes. Each note brought a huge smile to the children's faces. One note even evoked laughs because we learned we have a secret agent in our class. The notes are now hanging up on the classroom wall, per the request of the class.
Thank you to all of the parents that left notes. The hearts will remain out for quite a while and I encourage you to continue to write your child a note.
