Newsletter - Sept. 8, 2017

Enjoy some pictures from our week.

Several children came to school on Tuesday morning
and were talking about a red/orange sun.
We decided to go have a look as a class.

Apples and bee items are on the Provocation table this week.

The magnitiles are a favorite toy!

Several children made up a letter game on the dry erase board.

Play dough creations and serious discussions
about what is the best color of  play dough.

"We made a town."  E.S.

This play dough cake took serious concentration.

The class cleaned from Free Play faster than ever before.
We celebrated with a group cheer.
HOORAY GANON!!

Ready to listen to the shofar.

Abba and Imma ready for the Ganon Shabbat party.

Look who's turn it is to sit in the special chair in the EC library!

Today we had a Pete the Cat themed story time!

This is a clue about the story we read.
This is another clue.

We read Pete's Big Lunch

This bag has buttons, which are clues about our second story.

Each child chose a button.  Then they sorted the button by shape.

We counted the buttons.

We compared the amounts.
Circle buttons were the most and heart buttons were the least.

Next, we sorted the buttons by color.

We read Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons.

We enjoyed the weather during our playground time.

A group of children have created a new sport, Swings Kickball.
They take it very seriously!  There was a lot of cheering and teamwork during today's game.
