Ladybugs

Ladybug Project Day 1

Our class created clay ladybugs during art class.

First, we rolled the clay into balls.

Then, we used our fingers to smash the clay into a ladybug shape.

Next, we used a popsicle stick to make

a T in the clay.

The final step of the first day of the project was to poke holes into the clay for ladybug spots and eyes.

Ladybug Project Day 2
First, we painted the clay red.

Next, we used Qtips with white and black paint to make the dots.

Then, we colored dirt and grass for the ladybug's basket.

Finally, we had a photo shoot to show off our final product.  The ladybugs will be on display in the school for a short time before the children bring them home.
