Clay Characters from The Mitten

 Each Ganon student created their character from The Mitten out of clay.  The children thought about the characteristics that make their animal/person unique and worked to incorporate those attributes in their design.

Many children chose to add animals from the book words into their word books.

We will be continuing our study of The Mitten throughout the week and into next week.  Each day, the children learn more about the animals that they are researching.  They are also learning about the components of a book.  We are focusing on characters and setting this week.
