Today, our class began a unit on space. The children asked to learn about "space and the planets" earlier this year. We waited until our return from the break, so we had lots of time to explore the topic. The addition of space materials to the different centers was a welcoming surprise for the children.
The Space Provocation Table greeted the children when they returned from the break. The table is used to introduce the children to our topic of study.

Finding and counting stars combines math, fine motor development, and fun.

The Book Center has a lot of books about space from the library.

Kinetic sand and astronauts are in the Sensory Table.
New words were added to the Writing Center.
