Apples and Bees

Our class continued our discussion of Rosh Hashanah today.  Apples and honey are often eaten on Rosh Hashanah to symbolize having a sweet new year.  Many of today's activities included apples and bees (honey comes from bees).

The art center had paints that are the color of apples.  Some children choose to paint apples pictures on the paper.

Today's math activity included the math skills of sorting, counting, and number identification.

Children created apple trees using loose parts.

Children created observational drawings of bees.

The bee costumes added to the dramatic play center are a
new favorite and have encouraged pretend play.
