Exploring identity in the Art Atelier and Art Class

Our class has been focusing on the topic of Identity.  Today, we explored this topic in the art atelier and during art class.  In the art atelier, the children used tempera and watercolors to paint images of things that make them happy.  The children painted turtles, rainbows, flowers, toilets, fruit, monsters, hearts, Ninja Turtles, and much more.  During art class with Mrs. Fellegy, the children observed the parts of their faces in mirrors and drew their faces on paper.  We also read a book about Faces.
