It was a great first day of school.
We are looking forward to an
awesome school year.
We began the day with Free Play.
The children enjoyed graham crackers, peaches, and water for snack.
The children introduced themselves during our Morning Meeting.
We played a name recognition game, called Plate Sail. (We were so busy having fun that we forgot to take pictures.)
The children drew their self portraits.
We even had fun during a bathroom break.
The children went to Gym Class today.
They played games, did an obstacle course, and had some free play time.
After gym, the class got into small groups and participated in different activities.

Rocking in My School Shoes.
We had pasta, cheese, cucumbers, and oranges for lunch. They were very good eaters. I think everyone had seconds.
The children enjoyed some quiet time to look at and read books after lunch.
We took some class pictures.
Then, we enjoyed some
outside time on the playground.

We ended our day with a Closing Circle and each child told their favorite activity of the day.
