Bug Hunt in the Outdoor Classroom

The Ganon children went on a Bug Hunt in the Outdoor Classroom.  The children found bugs and drew pictures of the bugs. 

 “I’ve never touched a real bug.  Can I touch it?” – SS

“It feels squiggly.” – SS

“It (bug) so cute!” – AF

“Guys, it’s a family of worms.” – MP

“Look under the log to find the bugs.” – GR

“I found ants.  Did you find a roly poly?” – DC

“I saw a lady bug last time.” – ZF

“There’s grasshoppers over here.” – ES

“Zelda, I found the same bugs.  I found three bugs.” – FG

“Hey!! Roly Polys!  There’s a family over here.” - ES

October Self Portraits

The Ganon children create self portraits once a month throughout the school year.  The self portraits are created with a variety of mediums.  The self portraits are displayed for the month and then placed in each child’s portfolio.  The monthly portraits are an extraordinary window into how each child has grown and developed throughout the school year.
