Today, we welcomed two new students to the Oak classroom. We celebrated the new students by making a class mural. The children worked on their self portrait skills. During this time, we talked about the different shapes that make up self portraits as well as the different things we have on our bodies. The children drew themselves in black sharpie and then added color with different markers.
After drawing our self portraits, the children worked as a class to create a mural of different colors with different materials. The children worked hard on adding different things and covering all of the white of a giant paper.
