The Ram Visit

Today the ram visited our school.  It was such a great experience for the children to get to learn about rams, ask questions and even pet a ram.  This is an annual experience at our school.  It was nice for the children who have been at our school for a while to get to tell the new children about the ram visit.

This is a conversation between two children in the class this morning.
"You mean a ram comes to our school?"
"Yes, it is so cool!"
"Do you mean a real ram?"
"Yes and it is big."
"But do you mean a real, live ram?"
"Yes, a real ram."
"Not like a toy,  but a real animal?"
"Yes!  You will see!  It is cool!"

She did see!  Then walking back to the classroom the child said to the other child.  "It was cool!"

Baking Honey Cake

Baking honey cake was such a fun and delicious way to learn.  The children read the recipe, followed directions, measured, counted in Hebrew and worked together.  The school smelled amazing as the honey cake baked in the oven.  The children can't wait until it is time to eat the honey cake.
