Menorahs

This week's Provocation Table has materials for the children to create their own menorah.  This activity encouraged creativity and math skills.  The children had to make sure they had 8 candles on their menorah.  Some children chose to make patterns and other children were busy sorting the supplies.  A few children were experimenting with balance because they wanted to make menorahs that are tall. 

 

Mrs. Sloan visited our class and taught the children a song about lighting the menorah.  The children got to be the candles in a human menorah.
