Dear Parents,
The Ganon children love listening and experiencing the Torah Stories. I try to keep with the Torah Portion of the week, but we are a little flexible with it.
Many of the stories come with props which then becomes class toys. Also, new books are introduced to reinforce the messages and values the stories teach us.
Avraham loved having guest and his tent had four doors which were always open to guest. Our class 'tent' has four openings too! ( a sheet over a table with clips holding the doorways open!)
song:
The ohel had four doors x 2
Avraham and Sara's tent
had four doors
I highly recommend the book, Much, Much, Better. The couple in the book learn about hospitality from Avraham and Sara.
Mazel Tov!! In their old age, Avraham and Sara had a baby boy. They named him Yitzchak and now we have a new baby boy doll and his name is....you guessed it, Yitzchak.
When he grew older, Avraham sent his servant Eliezer to find a wife for Yitzchak. We talked about KINDness and that is the first thing we look for in a spouse-it's never too early to start!
Eliezer found a girl that was very kind and she became the wife of Yitzchak.
Mrs. Levin helped us understand how wells work and about the wells she saw in Russia in the villages. You see, Eliezer found Rivkah at the well and she served water to Eliezer and his camels.
We have a well in our class with camels.
to be continued....
have a wonderful Shabbat!
