Shapes and Colors Collaborative Mural
During their visit to the art atelier, the Oak children created a mural in layers, with each step adding something new.
🎨 The background: The children painted the base with tempera sticks.
✏️ Names: Each child wrote their name with a sharpie, then painted over the paper with watercolors.
💧 Coffee filters: Using droppers, the children dripped liquid watercolors onto coffee filters they had colored with markers, then watched the colors spread and blend.
🔷 Cardboard shapes: Some shapes were painted in a salad spinner: the children added paint, dropped in a shape, and spun it to spread the color. Others were decorated with colorful tape.
✨ Final touches: Tomorrow, all the materials will be combined onto the background, along with a few finishing touches to embellish it.
The mural took many steps and many hands, and we look forward to the final result: a colorful masterpiece that belongs to everyone.
