Baby Z's 1st Visit

What can you learn from a baby?

That sounded like a funny question when I posed it to the children.  Today the children realized that you can learn a lot from a baby.  Our class is lucky to be having sweet baby Z and her mom visit monthly.  The class will be observing Baby Z and watching her grow throughout the year.  Baby Z was born just before school began.  Baby Z's big brother is in our class and is a very proud big brother.

Before Baby Z arrived, each child thought of a question that they wanted to ask about Baby Z.  (It was a good chance to work on the difference between a question and a statement.)  Each child's question was written down on an index card.  Then when Baby Z arrived, the children took turns asking their questions to Baby Z's mom.  Then the children each drew a picture of Baby Z.

We can't wait for BabyZ's next visit!

The Listening Walk

We read the book The Listening Walk.  We then went on our own listening walk.  We then created a list of all of the different sounds we heard.

Birthday Celebration with Morah Ruti

It was fun to gather with our Early Childhood friends for a birthday celebration with Morah Ruti.
We celebrated birthdays from July through October.

Parshat Lech Licha

Hashem told Avraham to go from his land, his birthplace and his father's home. He walked through the dessert.

The class made a desert floor, with Avraham's foot prints.
