Numbers 1 -10
I wanted to share about Ganon's math activity today. My desire to share is not so much the activity, but the children's pride in the activity. The children were very proud of their work today and many were smiling from ear to ear at the completion of the activity.
Each child was given number cards from 1 to 10. The directions given was to put the cards in order from 1 to 10. Many children immediately said that is was too hard for them. Mrs. Levin and I showed them numbers on the wall that they could reference, if needed. Each child worked through the challenge (and any frustration) and were able to complete the task with minimal teacher assistance.
We culminated the activity by calling out a number and the children placing a clown on the corresponding number. Finally, each child was given an opportunity to call out a number for the class.
Please share with your child that you are proud of their hard work during math today. :)
