Visit to the Art Studio

We are very fortunate to have a wonderful Art Studio right next door to the Ganon classroom.  The children enjoyed their first chance to create in the space.  We plan on spending a lot more time in the Art Studio in the upcoming months.

The Light Center includes a giant light box and a projector.

Newsletter - September 1, 2017

Enjoy some photos from our Friday.

The frog and turtle counters were introduced today.
The children were busy sorting and counting with them.

The children were busy creating in the Art Center.

The lunch and snack helpers did a great job this week.

The children created a game with this set of math manipulatives.

When it was time to clean up, there was a debate if they should sort the items by color or shape .
The group agreed upon sorting the items by shape because they wanted all the cars in the same section.
The Shabbat party is always special during Judaic class.

Curious George and the Fire Station

Part way through the story, we realized that we had our own Curious George.
It was such a fun surprise.
We read about Curious George juggling during the story.
The children had lots of questions about juggling.
Mrs. Levin told us she knows how to juggle.
She did a little juggling show during lunch.

The children all had turns to try to juggle.
We even watched a short video about a juggling championship .
We watched people juggle balls, hoops, boxes and even umbrellas.

Some bonus pictures from Judaic class on Thursday. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!
Shabbat Shalom!

Challah Baking

Today was our first challah baking of the school year.  The children rolled, squeezed, twisted and braided to create their challah.  The school smelled amazing as the bread was baking in the oven.  The children enjoyed the challah baking aroma in the hallway as they listened to Rabbi Gluck blow the shofar.
