Rocks, Geodes, Gems, and Shells

 Ms. Bellon, who works at the front desk in the late afternoons, visited the Oak class today.  She shared with the kids her hobby of collecting rocks, geodes, gems, and shells.  She shared lots of information on the subject.  The children were able to view the different rocks, gems geodes, and shells up close and even touch them.  Each child also received a special rock to take home.

Paper Mache Masks

 The Oak children created paper mache masks as part of our All About Me project.  The children worked one on one with Ms. Sydney last week during quiet time putting newspaper and mod podge on a balloon.  It took several layers over multiple days to complete.

This week, the children painted their mask and added the details to make a face.
