This week, the Oak children are continuing their study of Identity. Today, they continued to explore their eyes and sight. Each child completed an observational drawing of their eyes. They also created an eye drawing last week, but many of the children noticed more details today. Some of the details added today were eyebrows, counting eye lashes, red at the corner of the eye, eye lids, and discussion about the different emotions the eyes were showing.

“You can see anything. It can be blurry. When you have glasses or contacts on then you can see better.” - Maeve
“Eyes are for looking and seeing. So, that you don’t bump into stuff.” - Elkie
“Eyes are a circle.” - Ben
“It helps you see everything , like bicycles.” - Louie
“When I blink with them it kind of looks like I am seeing the whole thing. It goes dark so fast and I don’t even see dark. It looks like am only seeing white.” - Ethan
“I see my eye is a little blue. I made it green because I did not know it is blue. It’s actually very blue.” -Talia
When you fall on your face, your eyes could fall out.” - Lily
“When I close, I see eye cups (eye lids).” - Solly
“My eyes can see when I am drinking.” - Tori
“I like my eyebrows because they look cool.” - Wells
