Our Identity Exploration Continues

The children created large self portraits. They titled them flat me's.

“I like it cause it is cute with the cheeks. It is also cute because it has a bunny on the shirt and a heart.” - Sophie

“I like it because I like the little heart with the baby face on my dress. I cutted around the shoes and I cutted the dress. I cutted the hair. I  mostly like the tongue.” - Elkie

“I like it because I like the eyelashes. I needed to draw and cut out for the dress. I needed to cut out the legs and I did it the same way as the arms and the dress.” - Wells

“I like my eyes, that I did. I cut out to make the body parts. I did a lot of cutting.” - Ethan

“I like the hair, the bow, and the eyes. I like the shoes. It was really easy to do.” - Maeve

“I like it because it has a little zombie on my shirt. It was hard to build because of all the cutting.” - Ben

Inspired by the flat me's project this morning, the children created giant loose parts self portraits during large group time.

Next, they create a giant loose parts portrait of their friend.

These are some of identity creations the children
created yesterday in the art atelier.
