Learning about Bones with Dr. Goldstein

Dr. Goldstein, a Peuton father and bone doctor, visited today to teach the Peuton and Ganon children about bones.  He asked the children what are the purpose of bones.  The children shared that bones help us walk, grab things, protect our brain, and hold us up.  Dr. Goldsten then asked the children what they could do to have healthy bones.  The children explained eat healthy food, drink milk, and exercise.  Next, he played a guessing game with the children.  He would hold up a model of a bone and the children would guess which part of the body it was.  The children did very well at the guessing game and got everything correct, except that they thought the pelvis bones was a head bone.  The bones were passed around for each child to touch.  Then, Dr. Goldstein showed the children how to put on a cast.  He put the cast on a doll.  We ended with group pictures holding bones.
