Two Ducklings Visited the Oak Class

The Oak children and teachers love a surprise!  Today's surprise was a visit from two ducklings.  Ms. Halperin is fostering two baby ducks and she brought them to school for the children to see.  The ducklings are two weeks old.  We learned that ducks do not learn to quack until they are five weeks olds.  These little guys made a tweeting sound.  While the ducklings were in our class, they mostly waddled around and splashed in their water.  We did not find out their names, but heard that one might be called Goose.  Each child had the opportunity to pet the ducklings.  The Oak children used only one or two fingers to touch the ducks, to ensure they were being very gentle.
