Field Trip to Hooverwood for Shabbat Party

The Oak class was invited to a special multigenerational Shabbat party at Hooverwood. The children walked from school to Hooverwood, escorted by four security officers, which made us feel very important.

Upon arriving at Hooverwood, the children were greeted by Mrs. Ashley from PJ Library and the former Giving Tree Director. We sang and danced to Shabbat songs and listened to a story. Everyone then had the opportunity to create their own Shabbat candle holders to take home. We concluded the event with a final song and walked back to school for lunch.
