We played three different games to practice letter identification. This also allowed Mrs. Mahern to access which letters that we need to focus on for the next few weeks.
ELA2.1: Demonstrate awareness of the alphabet
ELA2.2: Demonstrate phonological awareness
The children wrote in their journals on Tuesday about a special talent or theirs.
ELA3.2: Demonstrate ability to communicate a story
ELA3.1: Demonstrate mechanics of writing
Ms. Alexis led her final small group on Wednesday (Monday is her last day). The children counted and weighed bugs. The children used the terms heavy, light, more, and less during the activity.
M5.2: Understand measurement through description and comparison
M1.1: Demonstrate strong sense of counting
We worked in our handwriting book on Thursday. This week's letter is letter N. We only have 5 letters left to finish the alphabet. We ended small group time by writing the entire alphabet.
