On Monday we worked on numbers and number lines. The children were provided with a baggie of numbers 1-10. First, the children put the numbers in numerical order. After that, the children used counting cubes and a number line and put the number of cubes under each number.

On Tuesday, we worked on alphabet recognition. We played splat to start the day. During the game of splat, we talked about the sound the letter makes that the child chose. Then we had an alphabet scavenger hunt to finish up the small group period.

On Wednesday, we worked on our writing skills. We worked on writing different letters of the alphabet. The children got to choose what letters they wanted to write and then we talked about the steps it takes to create those letters.

On Thursday, Ari brought in a game for us to play! The children had so much fun! Thank you, Ari.
On Friday we worked on patterns. Children started with AB patterns, and a lot of our friends worked their way up to ABC patterns. Children worked independently during this time and Ms. Alisa provided assistance as needed.
