The children have really gotten into our current theme of Musical Instruments. They have decided that they can make musical instruments out of many different items. A boy in our class announced "I can make instruments anywhere!" Another child agreed with him and said "yeah, you can make music from anything". The children have been finding toys and materials in and out of the classroom to make music. It is surprising how many things can be used as a drum!
The children created instruments using items found in the Centers.
Outside is a great place to make music. The balance beam makes a fun sound when you hit it. The children discovered that it makes different sounds when you strike it with different things.
