The Cello

Our class had a very special treat this morning when we had our own special concert.  One of our student's dad is a cellist with the Carmel Symphony.  He did a wonderful lesson teaching the children about the cello.  The children were excited to see such a big instrument in our room.  Then he played a game where he played a song and the children would call out the name of the song when he played it.  This was really fun for them.  He played Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, a lullaby and the alphabet song.  The highlight of his visit was when he played Star Wars and Let It Go.  The children were very impressed.  They hummed those songs all day after hearing him them played on the cello.  Several children said that they now want to play a cello when they get older.  One child even commented that "people who play cellos are so cool!"

We send a big THANK YOU to this very special dad.  This was morning that the children will remember for a long time.  Your daughters face during your entire visit just beamed with pride and joy!
