Gym Course

The children helped Mrs. Blaine set up a obstacle type course for the Peuton class.  She told them to create a large rectangle using a variety of mats and beams.  The class was so proud of the course that they created that they asked to get a chance to try it out.  Mrs. Blaine allowed our class to come back later in the day and try it out.  We decided to practice different gross motor skills along the course. It was a great way to practice different skills along with following multiple step directions.  I would call out different exercises along the course.  Children had to skip, hop, gallop, crawl, walk backwards, crab walk and run.
