Small Group Week 2 Ms. Alisa

During week two of small groups, the main focus was identifying shapes and as well as recognition of the ones we've already learned. The children worked on their fine motor skills with cutting, glueing, creating, and tracing as well. We played games where the children asked to hold up a shape that had a certain number of sides or that was yellow with the tanagram shapes! The children have started to show true excitement for having more small group learning time and engaging in more academics throughout the week as well.

Foundations:

M4.2: Exhibit ability to identify, describe, analyze, compare and create shapes.

APL2.1: Demonstrate development of flexible thinking skills during play.

CA3.1: Demonstrate creative expression through the visual art process.
