The Bee Keeper Visit and Apple Picking

Today we had a visit from a bee keeper! The children were provided with the opportunity to meet a bee keeper and ask her questions. The children were shown different tools that a bee keeper uses in order to do their job of keeping bees safe! The children were able to pass around a glove that the bee keeper uses while taking care of the bees as well!

After lunch, we walked to the Rosenfeld's house to pick apples.  We sang some apple songs and then each child got to pick three apples.  The children were told to make sure to wash and really scrub the apples before eating them.  Our apple picking trip was the perfect culmination to a week filled with Rosh Hashana activities.
