Wednesday-
Shape Clouds
Today my friends were given a piece of paper with different shapes on it, triangle, circle, rectangle, square and heart. Then they were given cotton balls and a glue stick. They were asked to pull apart the cotton balls and glue it to the shapes to cover the whole shape. This activity is to help with out fine motor skills of pulling apart and glueing the cotton ball to the shapes, while also learning shape identification.
Thursday-
Listen and Try
Today my friends were each given a white board and a dry erase marker. I would draw a shape on the white board and then have my friends all look and have them try and draw the shape too. This was to help my friends with their direction following skills and to help them practice drawing their shapes and identifying which is which.
Friday-
Shape Collage
Today everyone was given a blank piece of paper and a glue stick. There were different colored shapes: circle, triangle, square, and rectangle spread out on the middle of the table for everyone one to grab them and glue to their papers. It was up to them to identify their shapes and their color as they glued them to their papers. My friends did a great job with their shapes and colors!!
